Mega Volume Lashes

Mega Volume Lashes

Mega Volume Lashes are a specialized lash extension technique that involves creating ultra-dense, lightweight fans using very fine-diameter lash extensions (commonly 0.03 diameter). This style aims to achieve a dramatic, full look while still maintaining the health of the natural lashes. Contrary to popular belief, mega volume isn’t just about “over-the-top” glam—it’s about meticulously layering ultra-fine extensions to produce a luxurious, feather-light effect that can be customized to each client’s preferences.

Below is a deeper look at why mega volume lashes are still relevant and why every lash artist should consider offering them:

1. What Are Mega Volume Lashes?

  • Definition: Mega volume typically involves creating fans with anywhere between 6 to 16 lash extensions per fan—sometimes even more—depending on the look your client desires. These fans are made with incredibly lightweight lash extensions, ensuring that even when grouped together, they do not weigh down or damage the natural lash.
  • Technique: The lash artist hand-crafts each fan, using the Quick Fans technique- picking up multiple lashes at a time and fanning them out in SECONDS. Because the extensions are so thin, it’s possible to build these full fans without sacrificing the health and safety of the natural lashes.

2. How to Create Beautiful Mega Volume Sets

  1. Choose the Right Diameter
Stick to diameters like 0.03 which are specifically intended for volume or mega volume. The ultra-fine fiber ensures that you can safely add multiple extensions to a single natural lash.

  2. Master Your Fan-Making Skills
Creating consistent, balanced fans is key. This requires practice and patience—investing in great products made specifically FOR mega volume and excellent training can make a big difference. Our founder is a mega volume specialist so all of our products were intentionally developed to make the art of mega volume as easy as possible.

  3. Adhesive Control
Using the right amount of glue is crucial. Too much can make fans look “chunky” or heavy. Too little can lead to poor retention. The consistency and drying speed of your adhesive should match your skill level and speed of application. Start with the Everywhere Adhesive, it's beginner friendly and a medium viscosity, so it's easy to control and won't wick up the fan too much. Use 2-3mm of adhesive on each fan to get a solid attachment zone.

3. Why Lash Artists Should Offer Mega Volume

  1. High Client Demand
Many clients love the dramatic, plush look that mega volume lashes can achieve. Offering this service can attract new clients who are looking for a bold, show-stopping style and can also be a unique selling point that sets you apart in a saturated market. Natural sets, easy to learn and do. Mega volume that is actually safe and tailored to your client's features? Not everyone can offer that, that will instantly set you apart.

  2. Higher Profit Margins
Because mega volume is a premium service, it typically commands a higher price point. Clients are willing to pay more for the specialized skill and time required to create these voluminous, tailored looks.

  3. Showcasing Advanced Skills
Mega volume is seen as an advanced technique. Having this skill in your repertoire not only increases your credibility but also demonstrates your commitment to continued education and mastery in the lash industry.

  4. Customization and Personalization
Mega volume doesn’t have to mean “over the top.” Skilled lash artists can customize the volume level to suit each client’s style and eye shape, providing a range of looks from soft and fluffy to incredibly bold.

4. Why Mega Volume Lashes Are Not Out of Style no matter how much the internet tells you they are

  1. Versatility in Looks
While many people associate mega volume with super dramatic 16mm+ lashes, the truth is that using finer diameters and well-crafted fans can produce a soft, fluttery look as well. This versatility keeps mega volume fresh and on-trend, allowing clients to choose how intense—or subtle—they want their lashes to appear. Mega volume lashes do not need to look long and intense. Most my mega volume clients actually like to keep their sets pretty conservative in length, only up to 11mm. It almost creates a soft liner look.

  2. Continuous Innovation
The lash industry is always evolving with new materials, techniques, and adhesive technologies. The result is better retention, improved safety, and a more comfortable experience for clients. As mega volume tools and methods refine, the style remains popular and modern.

  3. There's a look for everyone. Beauty is all preference. Not everyone loves the natural look. I for one was born for big lashes and best believe I will die with a big lash.

5. Tips for Introducing Mega Volume to Your Service Menu
