What lash products do I need to start out?

What lash products do I need to start out?

First of all, Congratulations! If you’re reading this, you’re probably at the beginning of a long and beautiful journey into the world of lashes.

Purchasing your supplies can be daunting and the internet can feel like a black hole of information on what you need. Here is the bare minimum of what you need to start providing lash services.

  1. The Everything Lashes- start buying mixed trays in every curl. It’s important to have every curl because different curls will suit different lashes and eye shapes. Once you realize what lengths you run out of fastest, repurchase these in single length trays and build your stock up from there.
  2. Adhesive- you will be purchasing x1 5ml adhesive every 2-3 months when you are building your clientele. The average booked-and-busy lash artist goes through one 5ml bottle per month. If you’re just starting out, our Everywhere Adhesive is extremely beginner friendly. It features a wide humidity range and cures to a soft, rubbery texture. It also doesn’t cure TOO quickly so you’ll have time to carefully attach your extensions to the natural lashes.
  3. The Katy Tweezer for isolation. The Maddi or Sweetie for Placement. The shape depends purely on your preference and hand position. The Maddi will be held at a slight angle and the Sweetie will be held more straight up. Try both to see what you like best.
  4. Foam tape is the only tape you will need. No need to purchase gel pads. Our foam tape is the highest quality 3M microfoam tape and it is sold in a 3 pack. It does not slip under the client’s eyes and it can be custom cut to fit all eye shapes.
  5. Lash Cleanser. Start by getting a few and once you have enough clients, purchase the retail pack for a discount so you can sell these to your clients and make extra money! We recommend selling them for $19-$25.
  6. Primer and Bonder
  7. Micro Swabs and Spoolies
  8. Brown Lashes! Start with a few mixed trays of Fawn. Fawn is the most universally used shade in our collection of brown lashes. It suits a wide variety of clients and it’s handy to keep in your cart since clients are requesting it all the time.

I know investing in your first round of Inventory isn’t cheap, but it is an investment worth making. Practicing and working with high quality, reputable and safe products will save you time and money down the road. Rather than buying 10 tweezers that quickly lose their grip, our stainless steel, crystal tip tweezers will be your reliable and trusty companions.

Rather than buying tons of cheap lash trays that don’t fan easily, leaving piles of loose fibers behind…our Everything lashes will literally do half the work for you. They peel off the strip with ease and fan like BUTTER using any method. The Quick Fans method specifically will have you fanning in seconds.

High quality adhesive is an extremely important product to have in your cart. Make sure you always stock up before it’s too late. Every 30 days I like to repurchase an adhesive even if I have some left.

Everything else can be added to your inventory as you build your business.

One thing that you will never regret investing in at the beginning is your education. An educated lash artist is a good lash artist. We have so many incredible options for online classes you can take at your own pace no matter where you are in the world. And they are all super affordable!

We’re excited for you! Once your cart is all complete, tag us in a picture on Instagram so we can celebrate your new journey! And as always, hugs and kisses.
